Back to FieldOps

Elevon Aerial Ag (“Elevon”, “we”) operates FieldOps, the planning and records app for aerial application. This policy describes what we collect, including information we receive when you sign in with Google, and how we use it. It applies to FieldOps on this site, including the fieldops-dev lab. The terms of service cover how the service may be used.

Google account sign-in

If you choose “Continue with Google”, we ask Google only for OpenID Connect sign-in: your Google account identifier, your email address, whether Google has verified that email, and your name. We use that to create or match your FieldOps login and to show your name in the app.

We do not ask Google for Gmail, Drive, Contacts, photos, or any other Google product as part of sign-in. The sign-in token Google issues is used once to read that profile and is not stored. We keep the Google account identifier as the key for that login, and we keep the email address and name on your FieldOps account.

Google Calendar, only if you connect it

Connecting Google Calendar is separate from sign-in and is optional. If you connect it, Google asks you to allow FieldOps to create and edit events on your calendar and to see when you are busy. We use that only to put FieldOps jobs you choose onto your calendar, and to read free/busy times so a schedule can avoid conflicts. Busy times are start and end only. We do not read event titles, guests, or notes from your calendar.

For that connection we store a refresh token, a short-lived access token, when the access token expires, and the Google email address on the connection. Disconnecting Google Calendar in FieldOps deletes those tokens from our database.

Google API Limited Use

Elevon Aerial Ag’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use Google user data only to provide and secure the FieldOps features you turn on. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence models. We do not let people read it except to keep the service secure, to comply with the law, or to help you when you ask. We do not transfer it except to provide those features, with your direction, or when the law requires it.

Other information FieldOps stores

Who else receives data

We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers only as needed to run FieldOps: the host that stores the database, email or SMS delivery when a sign-in code or notice is sent, and map, weather, and aviation data services when you use those layers. If you connect a farm-management system or another vendor, we send only what you choose to send there. Google receives the sign-in and calendar requests described above. Microsoft receives the same kind of sign-in request if you use that button.

How long we keep it

We keep account and work records while the organization uses FieldOps. Google Calendar tokens are deleted when you disconnect that calendar. Sign-in codes expire and are then discarded. You can ask us to delete your FieldOps identity and the Google login linked to it. Records the organization owns, such as a field or an application report, stay with that organization unless an admin of that organization asks us to remove them.

Security

Passwords are stored as a PBKDF2 hash, not as the password itself. Sessions are tokens issued by FieldOps. No method of storage is perfect. Use a unique password and disconnect Google Calendar if you stop using that feature.

Children

FieldOps is for aerial application businesses. We do not aim it at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of FieldOps after that date means you are using the service under the updated policy.
